This unit describes the performance outcomes required to select light vehicle tyres and wheels to suit specific applications. It involves identifying and confirming work requirements, preparing for the work, selecting tyres and wheels, and completing workplace processes and documentation. 

It applies to those working in the automotive service and repair industry. The tyres and wheels include those of light vehicles or trailers that are used on sealed or unsealed surfaces.
